Sixth-Floor Opening Celebration
About
By invitation only
This exciting unveiling of the RISD Museum's beautifully restored sixth floor celebrates the completion of our Radeke Restoration Project, an extensive effort to renovate and reinstall galleries in the Museum's historic Eliza G. Radeke Building. Enjoy cocktails, conversation, and a chance to preview this space. RSVP required, see your invitation for details.
We invite the general public to celebrate with us at a special Design the Night on Thursday, June 19.
Highlights of the sixth-floor restoration project include new, interpretative installations of Asian and ancient Egyptian art; a costume and textiles study gallery that features selections drawn from the Museum's rarely seen 26,000-piece collection; improved lighting and casework; and natural light from a skylight that had been covered by prior renovations.
