Printmaking Werkshop
About
Join artist and RISD design Professor, Jess Brown for a "werkshop" about empowering youth to use their voices to stand up to and call out injustices. From the Freedom Movement of the 1920s to the Civil Rights movements of the 1950s and 60's, to the present day Black Lives Matter and environmental justice movements, youth have been instrumental in advancing the progress of change. We will look at examples of these posters, their style and their effectiveness. Werkshop participants will use a Silkscreen Printing method to create their own posters that reflect the moment that we are in now to amplify the issues that mean the most to us.
Free. Drop-in.
