Double Take
About
RISD Textiles students participated in experimental printing and dyeing sessions with designer Todd Oldham in the spring of 2015, as part of Assistant Professor Mary Anne Friel's Fabric Silkscreen class. This 30-person collaboration created 18 yards of silkscreen-printed muslin which has been transformed by Oldham into the RISD Ensemble—the full-skirted dress at the heart of All of Everything: Todd Oldham Fashion.
View the remarkable results and join Friel and RISD students Annie Keating (BFA 2017, Textiles), Bruce Li (BFA 2018, Textiles/Brown BA 2018, Comparative Literature), and Anna Williams (BFA 2017, Textiles) for a discussion of this creative collaboration.
Free with Museum admission.
Double Takes invite specialists to offer views on objects with a focus on artists and the social context, artistic interpretation, and ever-evolving meanings of objects.
Double Takes are supported, in part, by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. This program is part of the Pell Humanities Initiative in Rhode Island, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
