In pencil on recto of upper panel (textured paper): "West Wall Bird Cage + Bamboo"; and on recto in pencil of lower panel (matboard): "SHELVES ABOVE CUPBOARD BELOW" (there is also some indeciferable writing to the right of this).

Marks: On recto in black ink stamp on cardboard: "THEDLOW, INC. / 146 EAST 55TH STREET / NEW YORK 22, N.Y."
