Marked on the underside of the handle with lion passant (standard mark, sterling mark), leopard's head (city mark of London, assay mark), a lower case "l" for the year of 1906, and the maker's mark symbol of a shield (triangle with clipped corners) stamped with "H A & S" for Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater.
